Enter the Exocosm: Itchy-O’s Album Launch & Planetarium Odyssey
In 2024, the enigmatic performance troupe debuted their cosmic opus to two sold-out audiences. A portal to itchy-O’s Exocosm, “a dimensional realm beyond the ordinary.” This transcendent experience synchronized hypnotic visual rhythms to the resonant melodies of SÖM SÂPTÂLAHN—an ambitious creation born from 600 pounds of reclaimed bronze in collaboration with the Colorado School of Mines. Tuned to itchy-O’s own Saptatonic scale, these instruments conjure soundscapes designed to provoke altered states and awaken the subconscious. To honor the release of the SÖM SÂPTÂLAHN double album, the troupe returns to the Fiske Planetarium on March 15 for two exclusive performances of an elevated iteration of the original journey. This updated experience unveils a new guided meditation, breathtaking 360-degree imagery, and revamped and enhanced visualizations. For those daring enough to traverse unseen dimensions, securing tickets early is essential—this limited engagement is certain to sell out again.
